Add anything you need to protect — a recovery phrase, password, or private note. Mosaic uses Shamir's Secret Sharing algorithm to mathematically split it into encrypted shares, so no single share ever reveals anything on its own.
Send secret shares to trusted friends.
Distribute the encrypted shares to people you trust. Each share is meaningless on its own, so no single friend ever holds your whole secret.
Need only a few shares to access it.
Set a threshold below the total number of shares — for example, any 3 of 5 — so you can still recover your secret even if some shares are lost or unavailable.
Secret shares live only on your phone, and are never shared.
Shares are generated and stored locally on-device. Mosaic never transmits them to a server, so no third party ever has access to your secret.
